The Conduit – A device developed by the Maxors. It is a potent thought weapon. The Conduit is a powerful psycho active device located in the Great Hall of the Maxors on Alpha. It simulates and influences the brain cortex using brain wave shaping to alter the targets mood, outlook, and willingness to accept concepts and ideas. As such it is a powerful opiate used to radically modify human behavior. In the hands of the Maxors it effectively is a tool to suppress or establish dogma. It is deployed through a series of local transceivers, which direct and amplify its power. The transceivers are low observable devices located in orbit over each of the Seven Worlds.

It is also used to reward acceptable behavior or punish rebellion. It has been employed to incite an entire planet, or to sedate a whole world. The Maxors are the masters of its power, yet they are immune from its influence. The perfect appliance for the manipulation of the human spirit, were it not for three things: The Magi, the Anomalies, and the Dade. These three factors have kept the Conduit from achieving its intended purpose of enslaving all humanity to the will of the Dark Enemy. That will soon change with the alignment of the Base Node.
