Quinn Laurel – A one time adolescent friend of Avalon Parder back on Alpha. Their lives split when Avalon's Mother moved to be closer to family after her husband, Benyo's death. She is a fiercely independent intelligent, beautiful young woman with no attachments. Her current assignment is as a weapons physicist with a promising career at the Optics Research Center on Fundal. Her somewhat stormy temperament and a lack of strong commitment to the military industrial complex has left her venerable to making rash decisions. On her current assignment she has few if any real friends, and secretly longs for the freedom she enjoyed back on Alpha.
