Parson's World

Parson's World – Discovered by the great philanthropist and business magnet Blake Phillip Parson. He was the only corporate head to accompany his expedition. His massive wealth was consumed by the project to colonize a distant world, but then he had plenty for available for the task. As the last of the old school, he demanded and got only what he termed "appropriate technology" for the expeditions craft as well as the infrastructure of the world the bore his name. Considered a visionary by his contemporaries, he was disdained by his competitors as too concerned with good and less concerned with profit. His Charter of January that formed the basis for government was profound in that it set the framework for not only a planetary government, but an entire system of values based on outward concern for others, and respect for "spaceship worlds" as he termed them.

Parson brought a rich variety of plant and animal life greater that all the other worlds combined. It was this legacy of conservation and concern that made Parson's World the center of agro-trade and a focal point for breeding and propagating new strains and varieties of plants and animals. His policy of strict neutrality and disarmament was adhered for nearly two thousand years until the Corporate War pushed it aside for expediency. Parson's World is an Eden in space where the perfect equilibrium of water; land and balanced rich spectrum sunlight creates a setting that is unequaled in all of known space.
